The circular-shaped, cool-coloured, gently swaying hangout pods of the FunPoint, Hangout attract younger children and tweens. With their soft membrane swaying seats that have room for more children seated or hanging in each seat, the hangout pods have children come back to play and exchange again and again. The swaying movements, apart from being pleasant, also train the sense of space and balance when children rock mildly – or wildly – back and forth. The soothing movements make for longer meetings and conversations with friends, negotiating and turn-taking who is to sit or hang where next. The meeting point character also makes the FunPoint, Hangout perfect as a point to retract to in the play area.
