GIANTS

Tall tales, sky high adventure

The GIANTS are to playgrounds what skyscrapers are to a city. Tall and impressive, they dominate, the sheer thrill of playing seven or nine metres up into the sky is an irresistible magnet. But the GIANTS are not just for the young bravehearts, they are for everyone, since safety is part of every level. The layered construction always means it is more stumble than tumble. Enclosed in a variety of see-through and themed panels, children from six to twelve can navigate their way to the top. There they decide on the most fun route down, back step-by-step or use the tall tunnel that halfway down becomes an open slide.

The GIANTS are about focused adventure, often with themes appropriate to their surroundings. They can illustrate local history, like a palace or a town’s pioneer origins or, on a broader tone, take play into discovering jungles, oceans, the freezing Artic or the vastness of space. You don’t need to inspire children to play, but through inspiration you can trigger interests. The enquiring mind is a healthy one and leads to setting up personal goals. GIANTS in size, they are also gigantic motivators.

The dominant feature of a GIANT is its height. It is not just a visual aspect or one that necessarily demands greater physical effort. The extra meters show themselves in the slides where the thrill of speed is greatly increased. The height also means that the bridge-ways between the tall and the second tower can be dramatic, perhaps offering children the biggest single challenge in the play feature.

Outdoor play is amongst the best and most valuable forms of development activity. The events of 2020 have underlined just what it means to be without it. If there are any positives from the global lockdown it is in the realisation of what it means to get out and enjoy life and the importance of fresh air in terms of basic health. The value of the playground has never been so understood.

The Giants range is a massive invitation to play. Creative play helps build language and communication skills, as well as encouraging and improving teamwork. When kids play, they develop games realising that they have to work together to get the most out of them. Through fun children develop skills that will help them throughout their entire lives.

How strong are the GIANTS?

The posts carrying the GIANT towers are placed using a hexagonal pattern to give voluminous look and maximum stability. All towers are supported by a triangular side-tower to provide extra support.

We like the range but what if we want our own theme?

Let’s talk, although we have our current range, our design team has investigated many avenues. Getting exactly what you want might only be a conversation away. We love innovation and customer input. Together they represent change.

How many children can play on a GIANT at the same time?

In truth, we don’t place a numerical limit. The GIANTS are of different configurations and sizes. All our materials are tested and surpass the highest safety levels in the industry. Playground activity tends to be self-adjusting, children seem to have a natural ability to swarm and disperse when numbers get too uncomfortable.
