Normanby Hall Playground

An engaging play space that complements the themes of this heritage site

The KOMPAN playground fits perfectly in the setting at Normanby Hall Country Park. Normanby Hall is a fine Regency mansion in North Lincolnshire owned by the Sheffield family, former Dukes of Buckingham, and the original owners of Buckingham Palace.

Today, the hall is cared for by the local council and is a popular day-trip destination for locals and tourists alike. The local council sought to make the park attractive for families to visit repeatedly. The number of visitors has tripled in recent times, and this is partially attributable to the KOMPAN play space that excites, delights and engages.

A perfectly matched playground that's sent visitor numbers skyrocketing

KOMPAN designers worked within the council specifications on colours, height and size to create a Normanby-themed playground that follows heritage design guidelines and looks into the history of the community.

The playground has a wide variety of equipment to offer play activities for all ages and many children at the same time. Thrill can be obtained in the mega deck play tower or the fast cableway, and social play takes place in the Corocord Performer Dome that can hold up to 52 playing children simultaneously.

KOMPAN was creative. They listened to what we wanted to do. They offered suggestions. (...) and nothing was too much trouble.
