Awards

Through the years the KOMPAN Group has been awarded many prizes and awards. Below is a selection of these;

2011

ICON was named the 2011 Design Award™ of the Year and took out the Best in Category design award in the Sport and Leisure category.Presented by Good Design Australia, the Australian International Design Awards is Australia’s foremost design endorsement scheme, rewarding companies that differentiate their products and services through design.
Described as the “future of playgrounds”, ICON brings interactive gaming technology together with outdoor play equipment to provide an engaging, challenging and fun play area promoting a healthy, active lifestyle. Children are encouraged move around the playground, climbing, running and jumping on the equipment in response to the interactive digital games that encourage competitiveness and gratification.

2009

The ICON^TM product line was awarded with the EIGA 2009 (European Innovative Games Award) in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

2008

GaLaBau Innovation Award
- The ICON^TM product line was awarded with the Innovation Medal at the GaLaBau Fair (International Trade Fair for Urban Green and Open Spaces) in Nuremberg, Germany.


2008 Red Dot Design Award - "Honourable Mention"
- awarded by the Red Dot Design committee
The KOMPAN STORY MAKERS^TM product line was awarded "honourable mention" in recognition of its particularly succesful design details.

The panel of experts justified its choice of the KOMPAN STORY MAKERS^TM as the prize winner based on the modular aspect of the product, which "encourages children to use their imagination".
